The meaning of our name.

Pando is the largest living organism on Earth, a grove of aspen trees that looks like thousands of separate trunks, but is actually one connected organism sharing a single root system beneath the ground. Its name is Latin for “I spread.”

Kin means family, the people we belong with and are connected to.

Many trunks, one root system. That is what we build: donors, nonprofits, and funders, separate on the surface but quietly connected beneath it, one living community of generosity.
